Ms. Blackmore's site
Welcome to the twenty-first century! I am excited to add my own page to the MS 180 site. I am Ms. Blackmore, the school counselor for BALDWIN HOUSE and OBAMA HOUSE. I have been here at Ms. 180 for many years and I am happy to work with your children and you. Each year in middle school brings with it unique issues for boys and girls. We work hard at MS 180 to ensure that all children develop into productive young men and women.
In the sixth grade we are busy learning the new routines and new faces! Parents this can be a very stressful time for your children, they have many different teachers and many different classrooms to become used too.
Seventh graders have a very important year ahead of them, no longer the youngest students; the expectations are higher for them, they travel back and forth in a more independent manner and we begin talk of high schools choice and how important their grades are for the eighth grade.
Now, the eighth graders have made it. They are our seniors. This is a very busy year – they are going to choose a high school which can be overwhelming. Do not worry; you and your children are in very good hands. Come to our parent meetings and ask questions! Choosing a high school is one of the most important things your child will do this year, it can be an enjoyable process for everyone.
If at anytime you have a question you many contact me on my page or phone me at: (718)904-5667. My voicemail is private; I try my best to return my calls on the same day
